Its very likely we all have had a few encounters with 47135 or 47819 over the years. Perhaps as 1727 or 47664/784 others may also have memories.
Below is an initial stab at some sample workings by this fine loco over the years. Despite allocations elsewhere this loco did seem to like
visiting our local area….
This fine big Sulzer emerged new from Crewe Works as D1727 in Apr 1964.
1727 2040 (7/8) Perth - Kensington motorail div via Bletchley Flyover, Claydon, Oxford, Reading 080869 due Kings Langley derailment - 6Z48 Wolves - Ripple Lane derailed half a mile S of Kings Langley. Wagons overturned blocking DS, fouling UF. Hit by E3129 on 1945 Perth - Kensington O Motorail, several coaches derailed , cars damaged all lines closed

47784 Condover Hall pilots 87011 City of Wolverhampton at MK on 30 Dec 2001 with the 0830 Euston - Preston. Overheads were off being a Sunday. The first three Euston deps were usually diesel hauled at the time, Thanks to Mark Beal.

A second final cut view from Trev who comments that some parts from 47784 were recovered to help 20227 for future main line runs so a positive from the gloom of a Rotherham scrapyard on December 8th 2007
Withdrawl followed in Feb 04 and cutting up at Rotherham completed in December 2007
