Early turn at Ledburn, Wednesday March 25th

My permitted walk took me to Ledburn on an initially frosty but sunny and calm Ledburn.

A spell from 0700-0830 produced a good bit of variety despite reduced services due the corona virus. Those LNWR services that did run were all late or very late

25032066735r.jpgAround 0723 GBRf's 66735 took a lengthy Felixstowe - Trafford Pk Northwards

25032086627n638r.jpgThis doesn't happen very often 4L89 on the up fast. 86627 and 86638 pass at 0728 (20 early) with 4L89 2209 Coatbridge - Felixstowe. The "cans" ran via Weedon (as currently booked) and with so few express services operating they stayed on the Up fast until Bourne End running an hour early across the NLL and 88 early into Ipswich!

And that was that, time to walk home, 9 locos in 90 minutes is pretty good for today's WCML. 66556, 66735, 66953, 70010, 86613, 86627, 86638, 86639 and 92010.
